Communicating with diverse individuals and communities require a deep awareness of the community’s beliefs, assumptions, and behaviors.

As Cross-Cultural, Community Outreach and Engagement expert my goal is to always establish meaningful and long lasting community connections by recognizing the power dynamics that need to be acknowledged and addressed to meaningfully and authentically build in trust, mutual respect, mutual understanding, and transparency.

My work begins by looking at the power imbalances and recognizing the ways in which an internal culture contribute to and reinforce these imbalances – and then taking steps to change those structures, processes, and norms through community engagement.

To inform, to listen, and to co-create advocacy, connecting and actions are valuable ingredients in my work – and each must be done in a deep, meaningful and authentic way.

I bring real life international experience, industry-specific knowledge, and a toolbox of facilitation approaches, techniques and careful emphasis on establishing and maintaining constructive dialogue across the differing cultures, affected communities, government and bureaucratic stakeholders, in a manner that is sensitive to the needs and aspirations of all parties involved.

The rewards of effective community engagement and cross-cultural communication is stronger when we build relationships and create and build value for communities by building advocacy capacity– this work is worth the effort for a healthy society!
